Karla Hunter
Karla Hunter’s paintings celebrate the beauty of everyday life through vibrant color, thoughtful storytelling, and a distinctive contemporary style. Originally from Vermont, she draws inspiration from both the lush mountain landscapes of her childhood and the coastal scenery she now calls home. Her colorful compositions often feature reclaimed frames, bold patterns, and touches of gold leaf, creating works that are both playful and nostalgic while celebrating the moments and places that become lasting memories.
Karla graduated from Castleton University with a degree in Studio Art with a concentration in graphic design and painting. She chose to pursue painting after 2020. She had her first solo show in Duxbury, MA, in the Summer of 2025. Hunter established a relationship with the Levitate brand in early 2025, and this year, in 2026, Hunter was named the Emerging Artist by the Levitate Foundation.
