Amy Ross

Amy Ross’ imaginative collages transform familiar imagery into whimsical, surreal worlds. Drawing inspiration from nature, mythology, and the natural mysteries of the sea, she combines unexpected visual elements to create fantastical hybrid creatures that balance curiosity, humor, and elegance.

Working in the traditional cut-and-paste collage technique, Ross thoughtfully assembles vintage imagery into richly layered compositions that often feel theatrical. Her work reflects a fascination with storytelling and transformation, resulting in pieces that are both playful and thought-provoking.

Ross earned a BA in Religious Studies from Connecticut College and a Master's in Theological Studies from Harvard Divinity School before studying at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University. Her collages have been featured in Vogue, Target's Artist in Residence home collection, and on numerous book and cookbook covers.
