Marcia Ballou’s collage and stitched-fiber work explores the joy and energy of color, light, and the natural world. Through a combination of spontaneous and deliberate appliqué, she brings together unexpected colors, shapes, and textures to create vibrant, joyful compositions. Her work celebrates the expressive possibilities of fiber while drawing inspiration from the beauty and movement found in nature.
Ballou is a graduate of Mills College, California, and lives and works in Marshfield, Massachusetts.
