Christine Bodnar
Christine Bodnar’s paintings explore the landscape through contemporary realism and an expressive use of color. Inspired by a lifelong love of drawing and painting, she is fascinated by color’s ability to change the mood and feeling of a moment. Blending realism with expressive elements, Bodnar creates familiar landscapes interpreted through her own personal vision.
Bodnar earned an Arts degree from Central Michigan University and continued her studies in painting at Massachusetts College of Art and Design and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. She has earned the status of Eminent Pastelist from the International Association of Pastel Societies, and her work has been selected for national and international juried exhibitions, including exhibitions at the National Arts Club, the Salmagundi Club, and the Guild of Boston Artists. Bodnar works from her studio in Rockland, Massachusetts, and teaches adult classes at the South Shore Art Center.
