Gints Grinbergs
Gints Grinbergs creates contemporary sculptures inspired by nature’s geometry, transforming found and fabricated metal into striking organic forms. Working primarily in stainless steel, he welds spheres, circles, and partial spheres into compositions that evoke botanicals, sunbursts, galaxies, and molecular structures. He often incorporates cast-off pieces of steel collected from metal yards, giving discarded materials new life through his sculptural practice.
Grinbergs earned a B.F.A. and B.A. in Architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design and has also studied at Massachusetts College of Art and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. His work has been featured at the deCordova Museum and Sculpture Park, Michael Beauchemin Gallery in Boston, and Lever House Gallery in New York. Large-scale installations of his work can be found at the Duxbury Free Library and Union Point in Weymouth. Grinbergs lives and works in Dedham, Massachusetts.
