Karla Hunter
Karla Hunter celebrates the beauty of everyday life through vibrant color, thoughtful storytelling, and a distinctive contemporary painting style. Her colorful compositions feature bold patterns, reclaimed frames and touches of copper leaf.
Originally from Vermont, she draws inspiration from both the lush mountain landscapes of her childhood and the coastal scenery she now calls home. Karla’s compositions are both playful and nostalgic; celebrating the moments and places that become lasting memories.
Karla graduated from Castleton University with a degree in Studio Art concentrating in painting and graphic design. She exhibited her first solo exhibitions in 2025. She has completed murals for the Levitate Music and Arts Festival in 2025 and 2026. Karla is also a recipient of the 2026 Levitate Foundation Visual Artist Grant.
